You will find a number of our resources are sourced from other amazing organizations working to educate and assist beginning farmers and agricultural landowners across the country. For more information on each of these organizations, follow the links below. In many cases, they have many more resources than what is reflected here. We suggest taking some time to explore what else they have to offer.
American Farmland Trust-Farm Transfer Toolkit
Learn about farm or ranch transfer planning. This toolkit is designed for agricultural landowners who seek to transfer their land, operation, or both to an incoming producer. The transfer process is not linear and can take a long time. These webpages can help you get and stay organized as you move through the many steps of the process. The toolkit outlines key steps to develop a successful plan and includes additional resources, including fact sheets, worksheets, and checklists to support you through each phase and prepare you to work with professional advisors.
